About Me

Hoi Yee (Emily) Chui L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM) received her Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of East West Medicine in Sunnyvale, CA. Prior becoming licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine, she has traveled to China and completed an externship program at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. During the externship, she studied in the Internal Medicine Department and the Galvano-Acupuncture Department at Wang Jing Hospital.

Emily has been interested in Classical texts throughout her educational career. She studies and attends seminars to explore Chinese medical Classics at her free time. Emily has not only studied with some top acupuncturists and herbalists in the US but also the best TCM doctors in China. Besides, specializing in internal diseases, Emily focuses on women’s health, digestive issues, sleeping disorders, and stress and pain management, which are all closely related to one another. In her practice, Emily implements classical theories into treating modern living health issues using gentle acupuncture styles and herbal protocols.

Emily is involved with Acupuncture Without Borders, where she is in training to provide auricular acupuncture in community clinics. While practicing locally in the SF Bay Area, Emily is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) at Five Branches University, where she has the chance to study from world class practitioners from Asia and the US. Additionally, having an enthusiasm in spiritual medicine, she studies and practices Qi Gong.

Practicing in the city of San Carlos in the SF Bay Area, she enjoys providing the community with highest quality of care to maintain their health in a balanced state.
